The team play their home games at the Cross Kays, Cowden, they are now called Cross Keys A.
Most of the team is made up of Withernwick ladies, so it is right that we should continue to report their results here.

The averages in red are the official averages which contain a 100 point bonus for  a finish. In order to make the averages more easily readable by general readers, the averages in red do not have the finish bonus but do have the number of finishes in brackets.
    

Thursday 30th March 2017 (v Leven Club, lost 2-7)

The ladies had their work cut out this week as they had to play Leven Club, we knew it would be difficult but we did no let ourselves down.  We Won the first two games , Carol finishing on double 1 and Hannah got the finish on 19, but they were just a bit too good for us. and the score finished at 7-2 to Leven.  As I said we played well and we did some excellent scoring but as I have said before its the finishing that counts.

Thursday 16th March 2017 (v Hare and Hounds, lost 3-6)
  
The ladies were away this week to the  Ladies from the Hare and Hounds.  They are an excellent side so we knew we had our work cut out. Both Clare and Linda  didn't disappoint winning both their games Clare on Double tops.  Unfortunately the Hairy Ladies then got into their stride and we had to wait until the last game of the doubles to get another point, care of Laura who finished on double 1. So we finished with a losing score of 6-3, but we had all played really well and should be really proud of ourselves.  Although it is loud in the Hare and Hounds, it I a refreshing change to go into a pub with a bit of life and the regular customers were very friendly, plus the Hare and Hounds are a great team and excellent company. No match next week as it the Captains cup, week after we are at home to Leven Club,  another tough match.

Thursday 2nd March 2017 (v The Alex, won 5-4)
     
The Ladies were at home to the Alex this week, we were still elated and inflated by our win last week and also we treated ourselves to a new board, so were in quite a buoyant mood.  Well we started off very well Clare got us our first point finishing on 52 (20 + 16x), Next Niiki got us another point in Round 3 finishing on 40 (double 20)  Laura finishing on double 16 got us our 3rd singles point and Linda got the 4th on double 3.  So Wow, we were beating The Alex (A very good team) 4-2.
They didn't make it so easy for us in the doubles, we had to wait for the last game when Mary and Jacky got us the winning point, Mary finishing on double 1. Final score was 5-4 to the Cross Keys Ladies.  A good night was had by all.

Thursday 23rd February 2017 (v Cross Keys B, won 7-2)
  
    The ladies were playing the B team in a local derby this week at the Cross Keys and they didn't disappoint. Clare was up first winning on double 1, Carol and Nikki followed both finishing on double 1,  we had to wait for game 6 for Linda to get us another point, so we were winning 4-2 after the singles,  a great score for us.  Hannah and Carol played first in the doubles, Carol got the point finishing on 29.  Pat and Linda next, Pat got the point on double 1.  Last up was Mary and Nikki and they got us the final point of the night, Nikki finishing on 38.  A great night for us score wise but also a great night in general, as we play opposite the B team we don't see them very often, so it was nice to get together.

Thursday 16th February 2017 (v Board Inn, lost 4-5)
    
The ladies played Board Inn on Thursday and got off to a cracking start, Carol got the first point and it was followed by wins by Hannah, Linda and Clare. After a flying start we were winning 4-2 in the singles.  Then unfortunately it all went pear shaped, The Board Inn Ladies got the 3 points ing the doubles so it was another loss for the Cross Keys Ladies.  The ambience was very good and we enjoyed the night but a win would have been the icing on the cake.

Thursday 26th January 2017 (v Duke of York, lost 4-5)
    
The ladies were away to the ladies from Duke of York on Thursday,  Nice pub and good company,  Nikki got us off to a great start by getting the first point, unfortunately we lost the next 4 games but Linda came back in the 6th and got us another point finishing on double 1.  So with a score of 4-2 to the Duke, we had to win the 3 doubles games to win the match. Laura and Nikki played first with Laura finishing on double 1, we dropped the second leg but Clare an Carol did get the last point of the night Carol finishing on another double 1.  We've heard good reports about the food at the Duke and if the supper was anything to go by all the reports are true, an excellent night all round.

Thursday 19th January 2017 (v New Inn, won 7-2)
   
The Ladies were at home to the ladies from New Inn Hornsea this week.  We had a great night, and we won! Laura played first in the singles and got a first point finishing on 30. Nikki, Linda, Pat and Jacky all won their games so we had a winning score of 5-4 going into the doubles. After dropping the fist game, Mary and Laura won their game with Mary finishing on 8  and Linda and Nikki got us the last point of the night Nikki getting another point. So after a good night we had a winning score of 7-2.  I must say the team all played exceptionally well.  Next week we are away to Duke of York.

Thursday 12th January 2017 (v New Inn, Leven, lost 4-5)
   
The ladies were away again this week at the New Inn Leven, we played really well, in the singles Linda won on double 1, Nikki got the point on 7 and Laura who is playing really well this season and its a pleasure to have her back in the team got another point finishing with 45.  The score after the singles was equal at 3-3. Linda and Laura got us another point in the doubles, Laura finished on 32 but played double 8 double 8, not the easiest of ways to get it but they all count.  Unfortunately we lost the  last two but it was a good close match with good banter.  The Leven ladies were a lot of fun.  Next week we are home to New Inn (Hornsea)

Thursday 5th January 2017 (v Brands A, won 5-4)

After a disastrous start to the season we were pleased to get a much needed win this week at Brands Club.  Pat and Mary got us off to a great start, winning the first two legs, we had to wait for the last leg to get another one, served up by Nikki, so after the singles we were drawing 3-3 and needing another 2 points to win the match. Once again Nikki and Mary didn't disappoint and won their game.  We lost the next game so it was all on the last being played by Linda and Laura.  Laura came up with the goods and had a fantastic finish of 47 to give us game set and match.  All in all it was a good night and a pleasure to play the Brands Ladies.

1st December 2016 (v Brands B, lost 3-6)

The ladies were away to Brands Club this week, once again lady luck was nowhere to be seen.  We all played very well in the singles only to lose out, like every other week on the finish.  Jacky was the only one to win a point in the singles.  We fared a bit better inn the doubles, Mary and Carol got us another point in the doubles, Mary finishing on double 1, and Hannah and Linda got us our 3rd, finishing on 20.  All in all it was a nice night we just need a win.  No more matches until New Year now, so we are saving ourselves for the big finale. So from the Ladies Darts,  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The ladies were at home this week to Black Swan who are now top of the league.  We played really well again but its just the finishing.  We did manage to take 2 points from them thanks to Mary in the singles and Clare in the doubles.  Hopefully we might have Karen back next week and Laura, so things might turn around a little bit.

17th November 2016 (v Leven Club, lost 3-6)

The ladies were away to Leven Club last week, hoping for a better result than the previous week.  Leven Club a re a particularly good team so we were pleased to take 2 points from them in the singles. Mary finished on double 1 and Nikki on Double 2. We also won one of the doubles courtesy of Clare and Linda, Clare getting the finish, double 1.  So we finished with a result of 6-3 to Leven.  We have another hard match next week, second in the league Black Swan, we will do our best and give them a good go.

10th November 2016 (v Hare and Hounds, lost 0-9)

The ladies played Hare and Hounds this week and the only thing I can tell you is we lost, quite dramatically.  We kept with them but they beat us to the finish every time.  They are a great team and we all like them very much and we did have a really good laugh but a point or two would have softened the blow

3rd November 2016(v The Alex, lost 4-5)
   
The ladies were away to the Alex this week, they're good team and good company as well.  We held them to a 3-3 draw in the singles, due to a Laura, Carol and Mary so we were quite optimistic that we could actually beat them.  Unfortunately we only got one more point in the doubles, thanks to Mary and Nikki, Mary finishing on double 2.  Still it wasn't a complete disaster we finished the game with a score of 4-5, although we could do with a few more wins under our belt.
Next week we are at home to top of the league Hare and Hounds, now that would be a good win.

27th October 2016 (v Cross Keys B, lost 3-6)

The ladies were at home to the Cross Keys B team this week and they really were unlucky.  All our players played well but we just got pipped at the finish.  Clare and Laura gaining us points in the singles Clare finishing on double 1 and Laura on 32.  Its a good job we have got Laura back this season as she got us another point in the doubles but we did lose the match with a score of 6-3 to the B team. Next week we are away to the Alex in Hornsea.  Wish us luck.

The ladies were away to the Board Inn this week.  We did quite good in the singles with Carol, Pat and Laura all finishing and all scoring very well.  Carol had one throw of 140 and finished on 12, Pat finished on double 3 and Laura on double 2.  So we went into the doubles very evenly  matched at 3 games each.

We lost the first game of the Doubles but Mary got us a point in the second game finishing on 38. So one again it was all on the last game.  Unfortunately the board Ladies got it so we lost the match. However we did have  a very good night, Michelle has got herself a great little team there, they were such a  good laugh, looking forward to playing them again,

Clare, Pat and Jackie all won their singles matches, Clare finishing on double 4 and the others on double 1.Mary/Pat won one of the doubles matches.    Clare finishing on double 4, Pat and Jackie both finished on Double 1. Winners of the doubles were Mary/Pat.  Pat finishing on double 1 with Pat again finishing on double 1. We played well but unfortunately ended up losing 4-5

Not much of a report this week. Unfortuantely we lost 3-6 and one of our wins was a bye due to one of the opposition not turning up. We did get two wins via Linda and Laura.

Thursday 15th September 2016 (v New Inn, Leven, Home lost 4-5)

The ladies were at home again this week to the ladies of the New Inn Leven.
It was a good night and we played exceptionally well, especially Clare and Linda but our finishing let us down in the doubles. We won fur of our singles matches through Mary, Clare, Linda and Pat. Clare had an 18 dart finish with an average of 89.1 and a finish from 66, truly excellent. Linda also had a grear game with an average of 50.6 and a finish from 50. So we went into the doubles thinking this would be easy, unfortuantely the New Inn ladies had different ideas and took all three legs. So we lost with a score of 4-5 to the New Inn, disappointing but we had a nice night and we look forward to the return match.

Thursday 8th September 2016 (v Brands A - Home, won 5-4) 
         
Here we are again, the start of anew season. Our first match was against the ladies from Brands A. We started off very well, we won 4 of the 6 games in the singles thanks to Pat, Hannah, Clare amd Jacky, good scoring and finsihing by all.
We had to wait until the last game of the doubles to see Linda score our winning point. It was a good night and we were pleased to win as Brands A are a good strong team. So the final score was 5-4 to us ladies of the Cross Keys.
