An event in the village hall 1940's or 50's
Not many names so far, so it would be great if anyone can help with more.
Back row: Mr Carr (village carpenter and coffin maker), Granny Cherry (3rd
left), Jim Metcalfe (Falcon landlord), Mrs Richardson (with beret, farmed -
Ruddens, Whitedale),
Percy Barrick (click here to see a younger
Percy)and we know no more at present.
Second row: Mrs Robinson (1st lady from left, widow of Church Lane), 2nd left -
Evelyn Coupland (Lived in Main St & was an agent for the Voluntary Hospitals
Scheme),
lady that
Granny Cherry has her hands on is Mary Cherry (wife of John Cherry and mother of
David).
