A lovely photograph of the Withernwick Cricket team c 1905.
Back row (l to r): J K Thompson, Albert E Wright, John Carrick Wright,
Norman Thompson, Joe Hart.
Middle row: J O Walgate, Alwin Spetch, Robin Dunn, Arthur Dibnah, William Oman,
William "Butcher Billy" Clappison.
Front row: Arthur Walgate, Ernest Colton Wright (school head master).
This photo has been difficult to date, below are details rom the 1901 census.
Arthur Walgate is 16 in 1905 which looks about right.
It is interesting to note that a few of them travelled some distance to
Withernwick, possibly by bicycle or maybe train.
