KNOW
ALL MEN by these Presents that Mrs. Elisabeth Dunn of Withernwick in
Holderness in this East riding of this County of York Widow and John
Jackson of this same Town Husbandman and Pare Coll Watson of this same
Town Parish Clark---do stand and are firmly bounden and Obliged unto this
Reverend Thomas Carter Master of Arts and Prebendary of this Prebend of
Archbishop Holm in this Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St.
Peter’s of York lawfully founded in the Sum of Five Hundred
& Fourteen Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to
be paid to the said Prebendary or to his true and lawful Attorney
Executors Administrators and Assigns; to the which payment
well and truly to be made, We bind Us and every of us joyntly and
severally for and in this whole, our and every of our Heirs Executors and
Administrators and every of them firmly by these Persons Sealed with our
Seals. Dated this eighteenth day of this Month of December in this Year of
our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty One. THE
CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION is
such that the above bounden Elisabeth Dunn ,Relict and Administratrix of
all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Peter Dunn late of
Withernwick aforesaid and County of York deceased do make or cause to be
made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattels
and Credits of the said Deceased, which have or shall come into the Hands
Possession or Knowledge of Her the said Elisabeth Dunn or into the Hands
and Possession of any other Person or Persons for Her and the same so made
to exhibit or cause to be exhibited into this Registry of the Dean and
Chapter’s Court in York at or before the eighteenth Day of June next
ensuing. And this same Goods and Credits and all other the Goods Chattels
and Credits of the said Deceased at the time of his death which at any
time after shall come to the Hands or Possession of this said Elisabeth
Dunn or into the Hands or Possession of any other Person or Persons
for her do well and truly administer according to Law. And further
do make or cause to be made a
true and just account the said Administration at or before the Eighteenth
day of December next ensuing and all the Rest and Residue of this said
Goods Chattels and Credits which shall be found remaining upon this said
Administratrix’s account the same being first examined and allowed of by
this Judge or Judges for the time being of this said Court shall deliver
and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as this said Judge or
Judges by his or their Decree or Sentence pursuant to the true intent and
meaning of the Act of Parliament in that behalf made shall limit and
appoint. And if it should hereafter appear that any Last Will and
Testament was made by the said Deceased and the Executor or Executors
therein named do exhibit the
same into the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved
accordingly if this said Elisabeth Dunn above bounden, being thereunto
required to render and deliver the said Letter of
Administration(approbation of such Testament
