Three bills of Albert Wright.
Albert was the brother of John Carrick Wright who owned and worked the farm
at Withernwick Hall - click here for a
contemporary view.
The items in the bills show the sort of things that would be needed to run a
farm in those days.
The above bill if from John Harrison of Church Lane (not Church Street, he
must have been annoyed to recieve a job-lot with
this misprint!). As the bill tells us he was a joiner, wheelwright and
undertaker, so on all there accounts he must have been a
very busy man at the time.
The above bill is from Arthur Dibnah, a blacksmith, who also worked in Church
Lane. He must have worked closely with John Harrison
putting iron hoops on wheels etc.
The above bill is from Hall and Wood's of 49, High Street Hull for all kinds
of animal feed
