A photograph of what is now called Holderness House in High Street c 1910.
The censuses are not helpful about High Street and so it is unlikely we can work out who the people are.
The likliest people are Jane Ann Wray on the left and Sarah her mother and wife of Edward on the right.
The attached building looks like a substantial warehouse and Edward Wray is a retired carrier (1911 census).
Arthur his son has obviously taken over the business and also lives in High Street on the other side of the road nearer the Falcon.
The house is quite grand compared to the neighbouring cottages and is obviously a late 19th century building.
