The Kitson's of Withernwick and Canada
  

Susannah Thompson was born in  Withernwick and was the daughter of James Thompson & Mary Lowson (1799 - 1884 Withernwick).  She married 16th March 1850 to Thomas Kitson. They are on the 1851 census for Withernwick,  but sailed for a new life in Canada on the 15th April 1851 on ship called "Prince Regent", they had 8 children all born in Canada. The above photo was certainly taken when in Canada. They lived in Mulmer, South Simcoe, Ontario, Below are the gravestones of Susannah and Thomas. Thomas was born in 1828 and died in 1891 aged 63, Susannah was born in 1829 and died in 1910 aged 81.
