A  photograph of Church Lane c1910. it must be summer due to the fantastic display of roses on the cottages.
The left hand (as we look at the photo) cottage of those in the foreground was lived in by James Harsley,
 a shoemaker, click here to see a view of him and his family outside the cottages.
