Mary Ann (nee Kearry) and John William Kay Mary Ann was the daughter of John and Mary Ann Kearry (Click here and here). She was born in the village in 1873. In 1896 she married John William Kay (born Howden in 1875), they married in Hull in 1896. Once married they moved back to Withernwick and lived in what is now called Patchouli Cottage at the bottom of High Street. John William died on 16th April 1926 aged 51. Mary lived on in the village and died on 13th July 1947 aged 74. They are both buried in St Alban's churchyard.
