The Village Scarecrow Competition - 19th July 2013

There certainly are some very imaginative scarecrow about. Not sure they'd actually scare crows, more likely they would fall about laughing.

Here are the winners with the judges comments (in italics)

The Winner was No 16 Alan the Gradener
Realistic, amusing, typical gardener

Equal second were Nos 17 Percy the Punk
Made primarily of straw, original, modern, amazing detail

 and 23 The Withernwick Witch
Idea relavant to village, attention to detail commendable, whole concept well put together.

I would like to add how impressed I am with the standard of all the entires.
It was difficult to decide on winners, The Scout Camp, Monet, The Vicarage Tea Party, The Carters at Ivy Cottage
were all strong contenders.

(If I have by any chance missed off your scarecrow, do let me know).
