A photograph of Hetty Dunn - 1931, aged 31.
Hetty seems to have been a very conspicuous and interesting character and appears many times in various images in the Photo Gallery (which I won't list here).
This is the best photo of Hetty.

This photo is taken at 'Southfields' which was obviously the home of Hetty and Alan, which had been built by Ernest Colton Wright on his retirement as Headmaster of the school; this is situated just beyond the 90 degree turn in East Lambwath Road.

She was born in 1900 as Henrietta Wright, the daughter of Ernest Colton Wright, the headmaster of the school.  In 1936 (13th April) she married Alan Dunn. She appears in many photos of the Women's Institute and so was obviously a keen community minded person.
She was for many years the organist in St Alban's church.
Until the 1960's she used to supply news of the village to the Hull Daily Mail and the Hull and East Riding Times.

She is the mother of Lois Wright (nee Dunn) who also appears in various photos on the website.

Later on she lived in the Old White House on Beverley Road, and died in 1983.
